Two book studies and a workshop over the last five weeks! All were well attended with interested, enthusiastic and skeptical people. I got great questions, including a couple I couldn’t answer. That’s a good thing, as it sent me hunting for new information. I heard powerful, inspiring and sometimes heartrending stories. I heard amazing, breathtaking dreams. Best of all – the very best thing of all is the moment when I manage to convey something of what I know about dreams and how they heal – and I see in someone’s face, in her eyes, the possibility that she may have this living, creative, infinite resource within herself.
We are now in Holy Week for Christians. Every spring, during this time, Christians relive the events leading up to the trial, execution and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth. As we participate in these events again, as generations before us have for millenia, consider how these events are true for each of us psychologically. We all experience in our own lives selfless service as Jesus showed us by washing his friends’ feet. We all celebrate a type of communion with every family meal and every gathering of friends for food, fun and fellowship. We have all faced a type of death: death of dreams, death of relationship, death of a way of life, the physical death of loved ones – We’ve experienced resurrection – of hope, of a new way of living, of our very selves. These are eternally unfolding truths within each of us. Happy Easter!
