Writing makes you happier?
I journal every day. Sometimes, I write just a few sentences and sometimes I write crazed paragraphs that turn into pages in an effort to deal with some strong emotion. Sometimes I make pro/con lists. One of my favorite tools is the List of 100 I learned from Kathleen Adams, who has several books and a website all about using writing therapeutically. Just select a topic, write a list of single words you relate to that topic, numbering as you go. There are only two rules: write as fast as you can and you may repeat. More on this in a future post.
